PEG 300 Distearate
PEG 300 Distearate is a non-ionic fatty acid ester.
As a nominal diester, it has a greater degree of esterification and more lipophilic character than the corresponding PEG 300 Monostearate. It can therefore be used as an emulsifier, co-emulsifier, dispersing aid, lubricant and consistency modifier in a range of textile, metalworking, household and industrial formulations.
Compared with PEG 200 Distearate, the longer polyethylene glycol chain generally provides PEG 300 Distearate with somewhat greater hydrophilic character.
